Hi, I have got a Halstead Buckingham 4 boiler. It is only a few years old and it has just stopped working. Could the problem be the Thermo coupling? Thanks Dave

There are several Buckingham 4 boilers.Exact model would help eg BFF or CFF etc. GC No would help and can be found on data badge.

The BFF does not have a thermocouple but has electronic ignition and flame monitoring and is fan assisted. As a lot of the controls are not the easiest to access I would suggest calling an engineer.

If the electronic ignition needs replacing, how much will it cost?

abiut 459 quid ,is that ok?

Call local heating engineer in,it may or may not be what we are thinking and the person actually checking the boiler will be able to help you alot more ,or go for fixed price repair from BG

I don't think it is the ignition. The boiler is lighting, but it only stays on for a few minutes. The fan is also working. Does the boiler have thermostat or something similar that may need replacing?

In your original post you said it ws not working!! Now you say it is working but not for the required period? Call someone in.
