Hi
I am new to this forum but i have a problem with my combi-boiler. I have moved to another house and decorated the three bedrooms upstairs. For this purpose i removed the three bedroom radiators. At this point we had hot water and all the radiators except for the bathroom were switched off.
Now after i had refitted the rads i opened all the TVR's and tried the central heating but the system locked out after a few seconds and we now have no hot water or cental heating. I bled all the rads but once the air had escaped no water came out of the valve. I suspect that there is air in the boiler but how do i bleed the boiler? Any ideas please?

Thanks guys for the info.
I tried the reset button but it didn't need resetting.
The topping up could be the answer but can anyone provide a layman's step by step procedure how to do this?

First find the filling loop, as described above. Open black tap on it until the pressure guage reads just over 1bar, (allowing for a bit more air to come out) and close tap. See faq section

Hi Chris,
I opened the black valve and lo and behold there was no water to top up with so i assume there is another stop tap to open? By the way the pressure valve is at 0.5 bar.

There's only one tap. See manual, Halstead website, page 19. Or the black plastic part is turning but the metal inside it isn't..

Hey Chris and all,
With the filling loop valve open there is water in the filling loop but there was still no water going into the system. Then i made a mistake by opening the central heating flow valve. Water started to flow into the system indicated by the pressure valve until water started cascading out of the boiler where upon i closed the 2 open valves and turn off the system.
Help!!!!
