handheld dyson

hi all
i have a handheld dyson which is only been used a few times over the past year(ish)
all of a sudden it has refused to work
left on charge for around 6 hours and all lights working fine but still refuses to switch on.
wife did mention last week that she did`nt think it was as powerful as it used to be so i today cleaned out the filters (not that dirty)
all lights are the correct colours but upon pulling the trigger there is nothing!!!!
any pointers would be appreciated

I don't know what the problem is, but I think dyson products have more than a 12 month warranty don't they?

had a dc01 for 10 years (no problems not even a belt)
had a dc04 for round 5 years (not perfect but still very good)
my hand held will probably be something stupid so will persevere
THE REASON PEOPLE THROW DYSON`S AWAY IS BECAUSE THEY DON`T THINK TO LOOK FOR A PROBLEM (I DO ADMIT THAT DYSON`S DO SUFFER FROM OBSTRUCTION THUS REDUCING SUCTION BUT VERY EASY TO CLEAN OUT)
MAYBE WITH COMMENTS LIKE THE ABOVE YOU ARE POSIBLY ONE OF THE PEOPLE WITH LESS INTELIGENCE THAN MOST AND CHOSE TO THROW AWAY.
