I expect everyone knows this except me, but I Searched and couldn't find it.

I have several (heavy) external wooden doors. I want to get some lift off hinges.

On each door, when you are inside, pulling the door towards you to open it, the lock and knob are on your right hand.

When you are outside, pushing the door away to open it, the lock and knob are on your left hand.

Do I need right-handed or left-handed hinges?

whats the handles/knobs got to do with lift off hinges
do you wish to remove the door so you have to lift it off the pins?if so you will have to make sure the inside edge of door misses any architrave.

or choose some hinges with removable pins.

No architrave.

I got the answer now, from someone else. They say I need left-hand hinges. modern lift-off hinges have shorter pins than I've found in older hinges, so easier to get the door on and off.

Ironmongery Direct have a short-term "25% off" voucher code so I've ordered some.
