Afternoon all
Had a pair of hardwood doors fitted a few yrs back, have had constant problems with them unfortunalty.
The latest is with the rear stable door, the door expanded over the winter (again) but maybe more than last yr. The door jams shut every winter. Over the few yrs of expansion + contraction the cill screws are now failing + the cill is coming off.
I want to take the door off, put the cill back on etc.....but is there a way of 'hitting' the door back into place? so all the gaps between the stiles + bottom rail close up.
I have tried hitting it before, but the gaps never close up visually. It just seems the heat / direct sunlight only have an effect of slightly contracting the door.
I was hoping to close up the gaps, maybe use these

to then 'hold' it all together. Then re-varnish + seal the cill etc.
Any other ideas most welcome.
