This is one mighty can of worms, but I'm contracted to work for 195 days per annum (a total of 1265 hours) for my salary. Regardless of my excuse of being worn out by havinng to deal with your ill bred chavvy and out of control children ;) as a defence for the remaining 170 days rest and the excessive public servant pension deal (have I irritated you enough yet?? ), how many days per annum do you work on average?

Work is defined in various ways.
I work both mentally and physically.
My time is obviously divided and spread around.

You are a teacher IIRC and I know some who never have time off, even in the generous holiday periods.

Interesting point. Rarely a day goes by in which I am not reflecting on a success or failure and/or improving my own knowledge of what I teach. Today for example I have been reading a statistics A level book to refresh and deepen my understanding and I'll doze off pondering real-life examples. This is not untypical of many of my colleagues who occupy their spare time with a bit of blue-sky thinking.

I have no doubt that you, for example, plan out jobs once you see them, regardless of whether you get the contract not.

So when, for example, I have one of our excellent colleagues on here go to a certain house tomorrow to sort out a certain ceiling ( ;) ), yes it might cost a few quid more than I might consider a daily rate for the amount of time that I know it will take him; I also have to take into account the fact that this is his livelihood which is based on averages.

Let me exemplify further - a friend of ours used to use a childminder to pick up their children every Wednesday. They could not comprehend why the child minder used to invoice them for the Wednesdays that they managed to pick up their own children. I need hardly explain the error in our friend's thinking.

Too late for me now, been celebrating a friends new ( first ) addition to his family. had forgotten what champers does................

So Welcome (No name yet)!

Really, they thought a girl and a boy popped out!

Should know tomorrow...........today????

Anyway welcome little one, may all thats good be with you always.

.
Perhaps you could spend some time un - Americanising them  But then , I`m just cage rattling and chain pulling here ;) As I am not untypically wont to do

300 days a year. About 2600 hours.
I consider that pretty low.
A dairy farmer works 365 days per year down at the silage face averaging at least 4380 hours per year.

Why 'Hated' as the title canta?
Thought I might get some stick for the small number of days and hours I'm contracted to work.
Don't be daft man, we hate you anyway. :p
As a brief interlude, you may wish to know that I recently tried signing up to a marvellous trade ;) forum using a previous nom-de-plume, and have finally been advised that I won't be allowed on there since I am a spamming pornographer of some repute and that I am banned permanently  .  Bit presumptious of the admin team
