Hi, if I put my ear to two of my upstairs radiators (bath room and spare room), when the heating is off, I can hear what sounds like running/moving water. I can't find a leak though. Any one have any ideas as to what might be ging on? Thanks.

If he has a hot water cylinder the water would still be running in the primarys or were you trying to be sarky ?

Hi, sounds like a distant hissing and the odd 'plop'.
I have a hot water cylinder in the airing cupboard. I can't hear the water pump running and am wondering why I can hear water moving. Thought I may have a leak but nothing is apparent.

A bit of deja vu this one but do you have a water meter to observe, and if you turn off the stop cock, can you still hear water "movement"?

If you have a water meter on your incoming mains, turn everything off and see if meter still turns, if it does then you've got a leak somewhere

Hissing and a "plop", you sure it's not someone using the lav

LOL, like it

No water meter. I am wondering if the network of pipes are picking up background noise and the two radiators in question just happen to be in the right place in the system to 'vent' the noise. Like putting a sea shell to your ear.

Can you turn the stop-cock off to see if the noise is still present?

for what it's worth only a few weeks ago I had a very similar issue... a very faint sound of water moving in the en-suite bathroom.... I wondered if it was c.h. (ear right by rad listening) .... eventually i tracked it down to the w.c. (which was right by the rad.).
There was a tiny amount of water flowing past the inlet pipe rubber valve-seal on the toilet. - The water was overflowing into the pan but was so minimal it wasn't immediately apparent...
Just a thought! :)
