So i can hear water running in my boiler room. It isnt continuous and isnt related to the heat being on. It doesnt sound like its in the pipes either. It sounds like it is behind the walls. Boilder room is on the first floor and i have a crawl space with no evidence of water leak. My water bill has gone up. But i dont know if that is from usage vs a leak

whats your pressure gauge on boiler reading ? are you refilling the boiler often ? where is your soil stack located (is it near the location ) ?

I dont see a pressure gauge. Im guessing i have to buy one? And i dont refill the tank often. I am not sure where the soil stack is. I heard the sound could be the boiler refilling but i feel the sound is relatively new.

Do you ever get this system serviced?

Why not call the engineer who services ( or should ) it to have a look?

Any water flowing outside the boiler wall?

But this is a UK site and you are shown as being in the US where different criteria may apply.

Whats the boiler you mentioned? What kind of "boiler" do you mean?
Do you have a conventional water heater (a tank), and and a furnace?
Do you have an Expansion Tank(TET) or a Pressure reducing valve(PRV)?
Have you observed your water meter when you've heard the noise?
