Hi all

Can anyone confirm if when you convert a heat pump dryer to drainage via a sink, should the drawer still fill up with water?

It's a Bosch heat pump. Been using the drawer for 7 years or so, and recently converted it to use a drain, followed the instructions and have it connected to a mcalpine dual appliance adapter atop a 40mm stand pipe. Removed the little grommet at the bottom of the drawer too.

But it still fills with water ..

Thanks

Yep, exactly like that. I followed that video. In fact he misses a step which is in the manual for mine, which is to remove the rubber grommet at the bottom of the condensate drawer.

Since I posted I decided to let it run and do it's thing and ignore the drawer, and have run several loads through it and it's been fine, no leaks and no errors relating to drainage. I guess it must use the drawer even with the drain, perhaps for the self cleaning, and some residual water is expected..
