ok guys....the bastard plasterer didnt put any insulation behind the plasterboards in the loft conversion...gets very cold in the winter....ive drilled a small piece of plasterboard out and checked there is no insulation and its not the ilver backed plasterboard..ive read that there is an additive that you can put into normal ceiling paint that allows the heat to stay in and not escape throught the roof....could you guys please telll me where i can get this from?.........if not ten ill have remove the plasterboards in the summer and replace with insulation and put up new plasterboards?......not good at plastering so can i just paper over the plasterboards with ceiling paper and repaint ?..thanks

Got to be honest ive never heard of a paint like it..and if there is the difference it will make wont even be noticable..

One way out though...instead of taking all the plasterboard of you might be able to make a few big slots in the top of if and fill it full of vermiculite...its like bits of cork the size of peas...check first though to make sure it isnt going to run down back onto the floor of your loft first though.
