Hi everyone,
We are decorating our living room and have decided to get the walls skimmed, after taking off 10 layers of painted wallpaper, nightmare!
Anyway the chimney stack render basically fell off so we are getting that done aswell it's down to brick.
We have an inset wall gas fire, kinder rocco mk2 to be exact.
Do we need to use heat resistant plasterboard and finish? If something is needed can we use normal plasterboard and then the vitcas heat resistant plaster on top?
Any ideas?
The plasterer says he's used normal board and skim on other jobs and it should be ok but it's up to us
