The upstanding burgher of fair ol' London town has decreed no speculation should be attributed to the fire at the 5th busiest airport in the world but an article at Associated Press casts a shadow over his proclamation...

They documented 59 incidents in which European governments, prosecutors, intelligence services or other Western officials blamed Russia, groups linked to Russia or its ally Belarus for cyberattacks, spreading propaganda, plotting killings or committing acts of vandalism, arson, sabotage or espionage since the 2022, invasion.
The incidents range from stuffing car tailpipes with expanding foam in Germany to a plot to plant explosives on cargo planes. They include setting fire to stores and a museum, hacking that targeted politicians and critical infrastructure, and spying by a ring convicted in the U.K. Richard Moore, the head of Britain’s foreign intelligence service, called it a “staggeringly reckless campaign” in November.

Only 59? With friends like Donald who needs campaigns.

Heathrow is one of probably a few hundred infrastructure assets in the UK which should have RAPID backup systems.
Heathrow should be in the top few, so the fact that it didn't, is disgraceful.

'Intelligence services' are these the same people who told tales about weapons of mass destruction.
Aye, and they warned the American Fleet about the attack on Pearl Harbour.
They're not always wrong.

No, that was politicians telling a researcher what results they wanted him to put in a report

Even a broken clock gets it right .
All i'm saying is UK intelligence Services will be looking at the incident v. closely as so many verified acts of sabotage by Russia have occured in the last three years. The Reds may not be under your bed just yet but it's always a good idea to check things out. It's no that long ago a wise man would check under his car before going to work of a morning in your neck o' the woods.

Putin's hair implants are better than Trumps.

In more recent pics, I see he's had short curly ones put in.

Not as bad as his polyester combover
I read that Trumps personal hairdresser used to work for Axminster carpets.

Too early for us to know the real cause, but NG have waded into the blame game with a "not our fault" statement

"National Grid’s chief executive has insisted the electricity transmission network remained capable of feeding enough power to Heathrow throughout the airport’s closure last week, as airlines’ anger over the decision to shut down for nearly 24 hours grew.

In his first comments since the fire on Thursday night, John Pettigrew told the Financial Times that while an “unprecedented” blaze knocked out the North Hyde substation, two others serving Heathrow were working throughout the incident.

“There was no lack of capacity from the substations,” he said. “Each substation individually can provide enough power to Heathrow.”
