Hi all,
I'm looking to get some advice on choosing/planning a heating/hot water system. I'm moving in to a detached property, and doing some significant renovations. It seems like a good time to evaluate the current heating/HW as we'll have good access. Any thoughts or suggestions on the following?
* The property is just over 150m2, so I'd like to have two heating circuits for upstairs/downstairs on separate timers. Any drawbacks to this?
* I'm planning on adding a second bathroom, and would like to get mains pressure hot water, enough to supply 2 showers at the same time. I understand the options are an unvented cylinder or thermal store. What should I consider when choosing between them?
* Is it a good idea to convert to a sealed system?
* The current boiler is a glow worm 38hxi, which cycles a fair bit; I think it is just oversized. Is this likely to cost significantly more in gas? It will probably get worse as we upgrade the insulation/double glazing.
Thanks for any input!
edit: I've tested that the flow rate is good, and water pressures are 3+ bar static, 1.5+ dynamic
