Afternoon all.
My central heating and hot water have packed in. The boiler, a Potterton Promax, is showing an error indicating 'No Water Flow'. The system is pressurised, and the radiators are full of water.
The system is a pressurised system with a hot water tank and is only 3 years old.
I'm not convinced the pump is working; when the boiler calls for water the pump makes a buzzing/humming sound, but doesn't sound like it is spinning - though I've little idea what it would sound like if it did. The boiler goes into the error state just after the pump buzzes for a few minutes, which leads me to believe that it's the pump at fault.
I've tried undoing the bleed screw in the pump (a Grundfos Super Selectric) and spinning it manually - it seems to spin freely.
Any ideas? It's freezing in here!
