Heating only fires when tank stat in on..

This strikes me as being a bit odd, but I'm guessing the 3port valve is to blame.

I have just fitted a new salus SBMV32. It is all wired up as per the instructions;

Blue - Neutral
White - HTG Call
Orange - HW Call
Grey - HW Sat
Yellow / Green - Earth

All appeared to be fine, the heating fired when the room stat called for heat, so I assumed all was well.. However I have just noticed that the heating will only fire the boiler when the tank stat is on (ie calling for more HW).

Is this down to a faulty micro-switch on the valve, or have I made a balls up of the wiring somewhere ?

Water is working as it should..

I'd guess at a wiring fault. Orange is switched live to boiler.

It doesn't say that in the manual, but I'll give it a try.. That would make sense.

Working now.. It's so annoying when you look at something for so long and miss such an obvious fault!
