Heatrae Sadia Supreme 185 & 215 Water heater

Our bowls club has a Heatrae Sadia Supreme Water Heater which is dripping water from the vent pipe, the hand book says that it could be the Solenoid sticking and the remedy is to replace the solenoid. My question is would it be possible to service the existing solenoid and re-use it again because the replacement would cost about £41.00. At the same time of doing this job we will look at to descale the heater so would we need any new gaskets or again can we re-use the ones already in the unit? The club runs on a very tight budget so need to save as much cash as pos.

You will need to descale these at least every 6 months, No new seals will be required, A Wet vac hoover is good at getting all the carp out.

Reguarding fault, Descale unit completly, Thermistor housings may have scale around them, You might find it easier to take unit of wall to access all parts freely and check solonoid filter

I have descaled the water heater, cleaned pipes and solenoid connections etc and all is working ok again. The cost was nil so the club was pleased. Thanks for your help. ChippyOne.
