Having never painted over new plaster before it we had no idea we needed to seal it first (BIG mistake). 1 coat of white dulux (2 on ceiling) & 2 colour layers later I removed the masking tape line between the wall and the ceiling to watch all layers peel of with it in patches back to the plaster. OK, so you live and learn - but what do we do with a) the patches and b) and further problems that may arise? The room painted is the bathroom - would the steam in here cause further problems? Do we need to remove all the paint and if so how, or is it OK to fill and sand the patches and just repaint?
Any advice would be very appreciated.
