Help! fitted wardrobes

Hi, im a bit stuck i have never tried anything this big ever i have an alcove in the bedroom that is 6ft 8 wide 7ft 3 in height and 2ft in depth and i want to make it into a fitted wardrobe space.

The only thing is i dont know where to start. Ive got a few things sussed out from reading all the other posts, but still a bit confused. please help.

Time to do a little homework maybe.....do you want sliding doors or bi fold or conventional hinged for example?
Door gear by a firm called Slik is good and if you look at the specifications you'll find out what size door they can handle....you may need 3 doors in your application.
Why not visit some of the larger DIY outlets and look for a design you could copy, maybe? There are also specialist firms around with showrooms which are well worth a look.
