HELP:Hot water in mixer stopped due to freeze?

Hi,

The hot water (only) in my mixer tap in the kitchen (near the stop tap) has stopped working. Cold water is OK, and hot water is OK in other taps.

Since the water hasn't been turned off or anything, I'm worried something has frozen?

I've got my central heating on, and that seems OK - is that safe?

What can I do about the tap? I know about the rubber grove trick - would that be any use, or would that make it worse since it'd be forcing cold water in?

Leave the tap open, (plug out!) open the cupboard doors and let heat waft in, and you should soon be away..... mind you, the hot pipe may have a tortuous route from the sink to the copper cylinder or boiler, depending on what system you have.
So long as all radiators are heating, there is no problem there. Just keep 'em on!
