HELP, how do I make my vision come to life??

So I am wanting to paint an accent wall. I would love to be able to do a diamond pattern so that the thin "outlined" lines from under the tape are a high shine. That being said, I would think I would need to paint the whole wall the glossy first, then tape off the pattern and paint over it all in the matte color???? I know that will turn out disastrous??? I am wanting the below style (located in my pics album), but in a diamond pattern… Can anyone tell me how I can achieve this desired look?

Yes you would have to gloss/ silk the whole wall first then apply the tape then apply matt to the diamonds in between the tape, then remove the tape.

Sadly though you may end up with the sensation that you are in a chicken coop.
