Help I cant lock my door!

Hi no doubt you guys have heard it all before but got to ask. Whilst locking my upvc door and pushing the handle up I heard an omnious click from this point on the levers would not shift and I am now unable to lock the door. I have tried to take the strip off to check the lock and barrel but cant work out how to move the barrel so that I can inspect it and the strip any ideas anyone the barrel lock has MILA on it and the strip LOCKMASTER. Thanks in advance.

sorry i have no idea other than the mechanism has broke, its unlikely to be the lock itself, look on the brightside, it was unlocked when it happened which means you can still open the door

the barrel is held in by a single screw just below the barrel centre on the end of the door
the screw may be readily accessable or require the lock plate to be removed

you also need to turn the lock to the 4 or 8 oclock position to release it

also,take the handles off as this will also help when removing the barrel especially if its a tight fit.
theres a lot of configurations on the lockmaster range so you'll need to take your existing one in to a supplier to get the correct one,
expect to pay £85 upwards +vat for just the mech
