Hi folks , I need one of the above , on a Sunday!

The one in the pic is 15 > 10mm reducer, but mine is smaller on the narrower end , I would have said 8mm. It fits on microbore CH pipe. I can't even see any on Screwfix's website! Any advice please because I can't run my heating without it .

Oh, and I have tried BQ and Wickes.

I've got some in the van' if you're desperate enough - pop round and you can have one.

If it were me, I would try (please note, try) using a short bit of 10mm tube as a sleeve over the end of the 8mm, ie

8mm pipe --> (solder) --> 10mm sleeve --> (solder) --> 15x10mm reducer.

I would use lead solder.

I have no idea whether this would be recommended practice, but would give it a go if I were stuck.

go to B&Q, you might not get exactly what you want in yorkshire, you might get a compression one and get a 15mm compression straight coupling, but if you are desperate you could buy a thermostatic valve which has a 15x10 and a 15x8 compression reducer in it, depends how cold you are

You can soften copper by getting it red hot (then you can quench it in cold water), and you can enlarge a tube by hammering something like a drill bit into it. Might be enough to make things fit.

B&Q sell microbore. maybe only in compression.
Mine doesn't

I tried to reshape the damaged reduced I have and that didnt go well

Hmm, I'm in North Wales , and you are in Kent. THanks anyway.

Is there really nowhere that sell 8mm kit ? I'm gobsmacked

19390 screwfix cat number you have to buy a pack of them at £8.32

or wickes product code 194628 for soldered one

Thank God for that that. Cheers Namsag, I just hope their trade counter has them in stock! I put 15mm x 8mm into the search box and they never came up

Cheers fella's :D

ANy plumber's merchant will have them, but caravans and boats use small copper and you might find one open at a weekend.

Boxcleva, dont know what you were looking at that cost £50 but i would thing a thermostatic rad valve would be about £15, a 15mm compression straight coupling a couple of quid, and a compression reducer about a couple of quid as well, when in B&Q look at the gas fire installation parts you will find 8mm stuff there
PS part no 17597 from BES is a 15x10 compression coupling £0.61

Didnt realise you were talking about a TRV Kirk. I have bought a few of these recently from different places and they never came with a 15>8mm reducer
