Hi there

We have a part on our boiler that's recently started leaking (in pic). Pipe is part of the cold inlet.

Can anyone tell me what this part is and recommend how I go about resolving please?

Leak is a very slow drip

Boiler is a range tribune he indirect.

Many thanks

It appears to be a drain cock. They have a rubber washer that perishes over time, you can replace it but there seem to be different sizes. If you can buy an identical one, you can unscrew the plug and swap it for new, then rewasher the old one at your leisure as a spare

It will mean turning off the supply and draining out enough water to release the pressure, if it is a pressurised system. A hosepipe fits on the spigot.
