Help identifying conservatory guttering please

Our conservatory guttering leaks and is proving to be a bit of a nightmare to sort out. It's a long story, they don't make this type anymore apparently but access to one side is severely limited so a straight replacement isn't easy either.

I'm wondering if maybe I can get hold of some parts if I know what I'm dealing with... ?

Yeah, I've found a few like it, got a friendly builder popping over tomorrow to help me try to find a product code.

What did you do in the end with this? I've got the same guttering by the looks of it (marshall tufflex) and the same problem. Hoping to just change the rubber seals as the rest of it seems fine.

Gutter cleaning and repair chap here!

That's called an ogee style gutter. You won't get it in a diy place like B&Q but you can get parts online. They're very common on conservatories and it's common that the ends droop at the corner when the rubbers go. Another issue is that the small clips that hold the gutter to the conny roof snap too. You can spot them as they cross the trough every 2 foot or do depending on the installer. If you go the new rubbers route spray a dab of silicone lubricant on the rubbers - helps keep them supple so they glide over the plastic when they expand in the morning sun.

The clips are more difficult to get hold of but they're cheap so once you find a good supplier i'd order a nice handful and keep them in the shed. You'll always have spares then.

Thanks Dale. Yeah I’ve had all the guttering off to give it a proper clean so I know which clips you mean. Fortunately they’re all in one piece and it’s just the seals that are the problem.

Is there a universal seal you tend to go for? The issue I’m having is there are various different profiles of the ogee and not sure if all of them will fit (I’m guessing not!). They don’t make the brand I’ve got anymore (Marshall tufflex) so it’s a bit of a struggle.

No problem, TBH I see no reason why something like these won't be a perfect fit. I probably have some knocking about in my van somewhere!

Hi @0Floz0, I have come across your forum post and made an account hoping you can help! I think I have exactly the same (or very similar) conservatory and guttering to you and am having problems on the pictured joint (featuring attempted cable tie bodge job, complete amateur here!)
Did you have any luck with the above seals from Amazon?
Also any tips on removing the guttering form the clips? I've attached a pic of my clips as well and wonder if yours are similar.. Any help would be really appreciated, no idea how to get this down without snapping anything.

Unfortunately not. I think the only thing to be done which I haven’t done myself is just fill it full of mastic.

Yeah clips look similar. They may be quite brittle because of the age so warm water may help. What worked for me was taking the front face out first. Then tapping it down at the back to dislodge it. You may need to bend the gutter over the front clip. Do it at your own risk though as a few of them are probably going to snap.

You don’t look like you have the same corner bits as me. So you may be fine just replacing the lot. Just depends how you’d attach the new ones. I’m not an expert either so can’t advise on that.

Ahh that's a shame. I think that might be my approach then. I'll clean it up the best I can leaving it up there than just shove a load of mastic along the joint I think.
