Hi guys, I'm trying to install a water feed on a Samsung Series 7 Fridge Freezer. I have a 15mm male gate valve that I would like to attached to at the back of a cupboard. Is there a fitting that I can purchase that will let me connect without having the change the fitting?

The brass connector that comes with the kit is too large.

Images below for ref.

Any thoughts would be g=helpful.

Many thanks.

Steve.

If you don't want to drain down then you can use a bit of 15mm copper pipe.
A nut and olive to attach it to the gate valve then one of the washing machine isolators as above.

But would be neater if you removed the gate valve.

Hi guys and thank you for the feedback. It’s appreciated. I’m not a plumber and the access at the back of the cupboard is not great. I was hoping they would be a simple adapter that would allow me to couple on?

Never heard of a fridge freezer needing a water supply. Can you elaborate?

The Large 'American style' fridge freezers often have an ice making facility and a water cooler, so need a mains water supply. Fitted one for friends of mine about 15 years ago!

In fact, Samsung now do a fridge freezer, not only with a Plumbed water connection for aforementioned facilities, but touch screen controls and Wi Fi connection. The world truly has gone mad.....
