Hi all,
Hope someone can help, I know nothing about this stuff!
We have Talk Talk internet and use a master socket for the router. We have no landline in the house and although we have other sockets none are used.
Some time ago we had connection problems and did the usual rebooting etc on the phone with Talk Talk and they advised us to try the test socket - which fixed the problem. We have tried to then replace the faceplate and reconnect through the usual socket input but it doesn't work. We are left with the faceplate hanging off with wires from it to the back of the socket and the router constantly plugged into the test socket. The router comes with a standard filter box built in to its connection cable.
Could anyone help with how I can fix this myself or what the problem might be to get the socket working?
