Help, Linea 28. CH but no hot water?

Hi

I have a Linea 28 boiler. Central heating is working fine but I have no hot water, in fact there’s no water coming out of the hot water tap at all.

Not sure what caused this but the mains water was turned of for a couple of days during the cold weather. Other people in the flat continued to use the central heating and eventually the boiler started making a strange noise (sounded like a pump). A week or so later the hot water went of.

Not sure myself if these two things are connected, I wasn’t in the flat at the time. Any help or advice gratefully appreciated.

have you touched the fill loop at all? topped up the pressure? if so the valve may be left off (under boiler rhs) If not sounds like the inlet filter may be choked.

My money is also on the filling loop valve.
Bottom right hand side.
It needs to be pointing up (vertical)
If it is horizontal the water to the boiler is off.
when it is pointing down (vertical) its filling the heating system.

My moneys on Jim knowing what position his filling loop should be on and the filter before the plate heat exchangers choked up.

Providing the filling loops in the right position. See if you can top up the pressure on the boiler a little bit. this would prove that water is going up to the boiler but not passing through pointing to a blockage (most probably at that filter)
