Hi really could do with some general advice at the moment.
Bought our house in 1991 it had a dining room extension already done at the time of purchase. Fast forward to 2021 the kids have flown the nest & were in the final stages of selling up & moving on. Our solicitors have requested a build over agreement as the extension built by the previous owners in the 80’s appears to have built over the sewer pipe.
To say we’re shocked is an understatement, hubby has pulled up all the flooring in the dining room & found a sealed access point Which we never knew was there ( all previous carpets/flooring had alway been done by professionals ) & at no point has this ever been brought up till now.
will this make our home unsaleable despite us not knowing it was there?
