Hello all, new member, looking for some advice, we recently bought our first home. We have had patio doors fitted, and we are planning to remove the conservatory, as it is very poorly installed. In doing so, we have had 2 small brick walls removed to enlarge the opening for the new doors to be fitted.
We want to carpet the inside, externally nothing is accessible yet, as the conservatory is still standing. I need to make good of the flooring before having carpets installed.

The problem is, there is a cavity in the brickwork and all along the floor, and I will need to level over. I don’t want damp in the future, once the conservatory is removed and to be honest I don’t really have any ideas on what to do with it. I’ve been looking at cavity caps, people have said to use slate etc, obviously I need to clear the rubble out first, but after that, I don’t really know. What to do with DPC etc. Any advice appreciated.

There isn’t really a lot to support it on, on the door side.
And for reference, the base of the patio doors, aligns with current flooring level.
Thanks in advance.

I’ve added some photos.

I dug out bricks that were in floor. Couple of course down as that was enough.
Put some polystyrene in to line it.
Then plastics. Poured concrete. Carpet over.
