Looking for some advice on my kitchen floor.
Im planning on installing ceramic floor tiles in my kitchen but when i lifted the old laminate floor i noticed the concrete floor was in a bit of a mess.
The floor isnt level has holes all over it and also surface cracks. the holes arent deep but dont think i could lay the tiles on the floor.
Should i use a SLC or screed im new to this flooring stuff and any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Well, depending on how bad the surface is, you could try this product: http://www.nomoreply.com/index.htm

Unlike marine ply, it's only 6mm thick but I can't find any derogatory comments about it on the tile forums. I was introduced to it by a bathroom fitter who's using it now instead of overboarding floorboards with ply. [/url]
