Hi I removed ALL of the damp proofing (which didn't work) cement plaster (which was up to 2 inches thick) from my internal brick walls.
The bricks are very damaged- the plaster took not just faces but random chunks of brick, all over the place.
What to do ? I could:
a) Leave it all alone / ignore the problem
b) try to even out remaining brick faces ie. by sanding them flat or some
other method and then filling gaps with.... what- maybe lime mortar?
c) replaster the walls flat with lime?
d) unknown
I want to batten out the walls and install 25mm polyurethane + 12.5mm plasterboard, but obviously my walls are currently terribly uneven
Since all of my internal walls are affected, I am obviously not going to replace every brick.
Thanks for speedy suggestions.
