i need to know a little more about tiles in general. I am about to tile the fireplace hearth! But i want to overlap the surrounding floorboards just a little bit!
WHat i need to know is do i still have to put ply down before i can tile on the boards. Or because it is only going to be 3 - 5 cm it won' matter?
If i do have to put the ply down it is going to mess up the height as the fireplace hearth is concrete and is pretty level with the floor boards.
Any advice appreciated.
