Help to connect Smart Thermostat, wiring issues

Hi
I am trying to wire in a new smart thermostat WT100 Series from a Drayton RTS9
Any pointers from the below pictures as to which wire goes where would be helpful.
I am being thrown by the connected Live to Common wire.

I had a feeling this was the case but wanted some advice before risking blowing up my controller
