Hi everyone,
as part of my ongoing house renovation, we have decided to do wood panelling throughout our hallway to give it that extra character.
ive been looking at images so I can get a carpenter to do it for me. I’m planning on using 18mm MDF, made in to strips then putting it on to fresh plaster wall to create the boxes. I then plan on putting mouldings in to each square. However, I can’t seem to find the correct mouldings. The most common depths on mouldings are 6mm to 12mm.
i feel I need 18mm mouldings to look good against the 18mm mdf, but not sure if 12mm would look fine? Would it create too much of a lip?
ive put a few pics in for reference. If anyone can figure out what or how the mouldings are done in each square I’d be very grateful.
thank you in advance !
