Please can someone give me a little advice in regards to installing an electric socket in the garden? I want to install a double socket to feed a small water feature and to use for the pump for my daughters bouncy castle. I need advising on the following:

Is it OK to run a cable from a 3-pin plug in my conservatory?
If so what cable do I use?
Does this require a duct or can it be installed directly into the ground?
How low below ground level does the cable have to be?

If any of the above is incorrect then please can someone give further advice.

Thanks.

If it's not going to be permanent , you can plug an extension lead into a socket providing it is RCD protected.

You cannot trail a 240v cable it has to be mechanically protected such as SWA (steel wired armour). The size of the cable then depends on the length and load. This would need to be appropriately fitted inside your house, and the work is notifiable.
If it is just a pump, and it is 12v, that can be trailed but the transformer would need to be inside.

The bouncy castle could then be pumped up using an extesion lead.
