I have bought a new honeywell T6360 thermostat to replace our old one.
I don't know what make the old one is as it is that old.

Anyway I have replaced the thermostat and it is working. It switches the heating on and off however my problem is the indicator lamp on the new thermostat does not work. This is probably a wiring problem.

I have 4 wires currently. A red one, a blue one, a yellow one and a green and yellow one. I know it has been connected correctly so far as it works by switching on and off but I really want the indicator lamp to work.

I have placed the green and yellow wire into the earth port. I have placed the blue wire into port 2, I have placed the yellow wire into port 3 and I have placed the red wire into port 1. Port 4 is empty and port 5 and 6 don't have connection terminals.

Does anyone know how to get the indicator lamp to work?

Thanks for all your help.

I think you're confused. What lamp are you talking about? There is no lamp on that stat. At least I've never seen one and I've fitted tons of them. That's just a basic thermostat. Good quality and reliable but very basic.

The t6360b1036 has an indicator lamp.

Try swapping the red and yellow, otherwise, guffed neon.
