help with none responsive videx 4000 keypad

hi all, i got called out to a videx keypad that was none responsive to code entry so i thought it must be up the shoot so brough a new unit and that worked fine.
2 months later and the new unit has done exactly the same! the lights illuminate on the keypad but no beeps can be heard when pressing buttons and it doesnt operate? its a videx 4800m.
any ideas guys?

Did you down power the unit ? They are know for locking out in power cuts

yes powered down the system loads of times and even tried to rest to default but just doesnt respond to keypad presses

Have you tried to strip it down ? It may have a button stuck in

yes stripped it down and all buttons seem fine also all components look good to the eye

Think that's as far as you can go, they are the only issues I've seen with the Videx keypad.
