Hi guys i have a garage attached to my property with a flat felt roof. I am wanting to install some security strips around the edge. Can anyone suggest best way to fix brackets to the roof without damaging the felt?

Not unless you explain what "around the edge" means no.
Most roof 'edges' have a fascia board to fix to.

We used the same things on the flat roof of a photographers shop around 10yrs ago, we screwed 150mmx50mm pads of wood to the deck then felted over them, then the brackets were fitted to the blocks.
