Hi guys, i'm after some advise again!!

Having such a small bathroom the smallest thing can make a big difference, my soil pipe runs up at a slight angle so at the bottom of the pipe(upstairs) its behind the surface of the wall but then starts to run out, this has been boxed in by previous owners or the builders but i would like to change it if at all possible. i think the reason it runs up at an angle is because the joist is right above so they have moved it over slightly to get the pipe up into the loft and out of the roof.

my question is, can i reduce the size of this pipe at the point it sticks out the wall and then back to full size in the loft(this would save me having to change the part that sticks out the roof) or does anyone have any suggestions?

yes the top part only being a vent can be reduced down to 82mm from 110mm.

Is it as simple as buying a piece of pipe that reduces from 110-82 them? Can you get flexible pipe for this? If so that would make it easier getting round the joist.

You could consider using a pair of offset bends to bring the stack clear of the joist at ceiling level, letting the rest lay flat against the wall.

I dont think that will work. the straight pipe has to come over enough to miss the joist, maybe i'm being a bit dim but i cant see how that suggestion would work?
