Guys,
I'm drawing up my replacement garage at the moment and I'm not sure what way to go with the DPM/DPC. The garage is on the property boundary line, as the street is built on a hill the soil level of next doors property will be higher than my garage FFL.
At the other sides within my property the ground level will be a lot lower.
I'm not sure how the DPC/DPM will join at these corners. I know you can step them down over brickwork courses but that isn't going to look pretty as it'd have to be a lot of courses.
Obviously both corners could be taken into the corner of the brickwork but this may allow damp to come in from the boundary side on the wall with the lower dpc. It's almost as if there needs to be a long vertical DPC between them but that surely won't be good for Structural integrity of the wall?
Does anyone have some advice on this?
