Its actually - Duncan low heater - which will be the immersion element I would presume.

Never heard of a 'Duncan' one though. Maybe there is one like that in Poland

It is a thermostat for an electric immersion heater as correctly identified by @Madrab

A 'Diamond H type WS' to be precise. Made by Diamond H Controls Limited who were based in Norwich, but went out of business about 10 years ago.
