Help!!!

I have just been let down badly by my local Jewsons. I am rendering the outside of my house. I ordered some external rendering beading in stainless steel. I was assured by Jewsons that they had this in stock and would deliver this today!!

They instead delivered internal beading for plasterboard. Having spoken to them, they now claim that they do not stock stainless steel beading!!!

1. Is stainless steel better than galvanised?? I was under the impression but the Jewson guy said makes no difference!!

2. Where can I buy this beading from?? I'm in Berkshire!!

Plasterers are on site and charging by the day!!! HELP!!!

Stainless steel is more durable than galvanised, if you chip galvanised it looses its coating and can corrode at that point. Course stainless is more expensive.

Jewsons do do it. I have trouble every time I want some stainless beading from them. You just get a blank look from the guy behind the desk. Usually they can't be bothered to look on their computer because it's not something that is bought all year round so they don't know which code to punch in.

Most builders merchants supply it. Be persistant with the idiot behind the desk.

Don't use galvanised it will rust eventually. You can also use plastic which you can get from screwfix.

Galv will rust and look **** saw a prog few years ago ...bosses went back to shop floor ..multi£mill. owner went snagging and saw a pillar o/side a prestige block he was doing bloody greayt rust stains from galv angle bead Jewson Guy is a Merchant Banker.tell him I said so

Use two coat half inch pvc beads from screwfix, miles easier to set perfectly plumb than stainless.
