Hep20 to Tectite

I dont see any reason not to use the excellent tectite fittings with HeP2O.

But as will all plastic pipe it needs to be cut with a tool and the correct insert fitted.

After fully inserting a good tug out is needed to engage the teeth firmly. I always mark the pipe to ensure its fully inserted.

Reason I ask is I have a mobile home that have hep20 pipe and fittings on it and want to plumb in a washing machine in the shed and the only fittings I can get hold of is tectite

All push-fit fittings fit standard sized copper pipe, therefore it makes sense they must all fit each others pipe. The only down side is you will void any kind of guarantee for your pipework (not that you will need it)

I now live in Ireland just found out the hard way that Ireland have
different size pipe and fittings to England.
Everything is imperial over here so 15mm is 1/2" and 22mm is 3/4" and
because the mobile home I was working on comes from England its been
fitted with metric 22mm and 15mm pipe and fittings so had to run out and
get some reducers
