Hi , built in cooker fault

Hi, im a gas safe engineer, looking for some expertise in a field i dont really do much in

i service a boiler for a customer and theyve asked me to look at there built in oven details are:-

new world NW60G

model number 444447276
serial number 01116566

basically its one of therm solar grills within the oven compartment, when turning the controls to light the grill , its sparks but there is no gas present.. oven works fine...
Any ideas please guys..??

Have you tried lighting with a blow lamp? Is there any gas at all coming through even a little?
Please join the combustion chamber for more advice, you wont get much help in this section for gas repairs.
