HIB Cyclone bathroom extractor fan problems

A few years ago we had our bathroom refitted, which included a new HIB Cyclone illuminated inline extractor fan above the over-bath shower...
The fan worked well for a while but a couple of months ago the fan started to get noisier and way less effective: eventually we could hear it struggling to turn and there was no substantive of draw air. At some point the fan's 'delay-off' also stopped working, but the light has always turned on/off as expected.
We had the fan unit replaced a couple of weeks ago and it's now extracting, although noisier and not quite as effective as I recall the original unit being when first installed. The 'delay-off' is still not working, in spite of the electrician's attempt to adjust it.

Thus I'm wondering if there are other components that could be causing the timer issue, such as the LED driver affecting the voltage at the motor's timer terminal? I've found fitting instructions for the fan online, but these don't cover the assembly/dissasembly of the fascia / lamp / led driver so I'm loathed to try taking it apart without knowing how it's assembled... is anyone who's fitted one able to give some direction on taking one apart?

Separately, when looking at potential causes of the fan not working, I noticed that the ducting from fan unit in the loft is venting to an existing air brick that's about 1m *above* (and 1m away from) the fan unit. Is this likely to be causing issues with condensation rolling back toward the motor and/or with damp in the loft space as it's not 'sealed' to the outside?
Should the ducting be directed to a 'proper' grille that's fractionally below the motor height to aid draining of condensation and correctly sealed prevent damp air getting into the loft?

TIA

Reality is that these cheap fans simply don't last that long. Your best solution is a complete replacement.

On the subject of the venting - these units are "poor" with respect to airflow, so if you have room above to fit a more powerful fan then this would be a better solution - all be it without a light in the shower

Thanks @Murdochcat...
Both the original and replacement fans are quite substantial (maybe 'inline' is the wrong descriptor - see attached, mine is model 33700) and weren't that cheap (£150-200-ish in 2019 iirc). Not sure if bigger domestic duty fans are available, but which brands should I be looking out for? Can manage without an illuminated one.
