I said it wouldn't last (well not on here)

Another government waste of time and money. That was thrust upon us.

Yea, another bad Nu Labour law consigned to the dustbin, its should have been strangled at birth.

Theres a lot more Nu Labour legislative garbage like that wants binning yet.

Give the CON-DEM a chance, hopefully they will sort out more of the Nu-labour's garbage.

Fortnightly refuse collection......................wait for someone to say what a load of rubbish

My brother recently bought a bungalow. During the purchase, he was sent the HIP by the vendor's agent. My brother never even opened the covers to read any of it. So that was 250 quid of the vendor's hard-earned flushed away on pointless Labour bureaucracy.

When you are looking for a house, there are usually very few that fit your budget and requirements. So what if the HIP says that the boiler is a bit inefficient, and the loft insulation is a few mils under the recommended. Are you really going to turn down the house of your dreams because of a few things that are small-beer to fix, when compared to the price of the property?

Hopefully lots more pointless legislation will be abolished, now that the adults are in charge!

I bet the taxpayer will have to compensate all those HIP inspectors that are now redundant. They'll go back to being housewives I guess.

We actually manage very well with it until one or both of our daughters come stay for the weekend & then our bin gets filled with sh itty nappies! I don’t like it (although I’d rather they didn’t try & flush them!) & just one weekend easily doubles our weekly refuse volume. We’ve had a few debates about it but I really can’t believe how it’s allowed & the disposable nappy companies should be taxed accordingly; bring back Terry nappies, why should I pay for it!

Terry nappies?

Then you'll be complaining that your washing machine is constantly on, you leccie meter is spinning out of control, your soap powder has all been used, and your kitchen/bathroom/utility room looks like a chinese laundry!

Have you thought this through? ;)

And the smell of ammonia, especially that first morning one.

WOW!

Yea, we managed it with no problems &, fortunately, it’s no longer possible for either for me or my chosen one (even without me  ) to have any more. My kids are now nearly 30, why should I subsidise their electricity & soap powder bill by paying a fortune in council tax for dumping their kids nappies in landfill; that’s a mammoth pollution problem that nobody seems to have focused on at all! The kids accuse us of abusing resources & destroying the planet but they are doing a far better job of it (& it's not just the nappies) & will have much more to answer for than me!
