Hiring Unskilled Laborers?

As per title, how do people go about finding them? Esp in the Peak District.

We need to fill approx 30 Gabions with Rock, by hand and could do with some help just chucking rocks in. Totally unskilled as most of these will be hidden from view - £100 a day sort of thing.

Googling everything I could think of but all it does is bring up American sites....offering exactly what i need!

Ask the landlord in the local pub(s) if he or she knows anyone looking for a bit of extra cash.

Try your local recruitment agency they should be able to supply unskilled labour on an hourly rate.

Put ads on gumtree.. how many days work @ 100 a day ?

Round here they tend to congregate outside wickes and other builders merchants, often complete with tools, waiting for work, sometimes about 30 people

Chichelle Road in NW2 is a good place. Can usually fill a couple of crewcabs if you get there early enough.

If you're spelling the word labour the American way (ie."labor" as in your thread title), it may go a long way to explaining why all you Googling is throwing up results for workers from over The Pond.
