Hello,

More information is needed please. What system do you have? Are there any zone valves? Are you intending on controlling heating and hot water or just heating?

Hi Chris thanks for taking the time to reply the system is gravity fed with separate hot water tank 2 zone valves I would like to control heating and hot water controller is a Drayton LP241 and the remote star is a salus unit

I assume when you say gravity fed you mean it has a header tank and the DHW and CH are both pumped so it would be S Plan?

I can't find the wiring diagram for the Drayton LP241 I have a feeling it may be the same as Hive twin channel, but likely the wiring diagram is on the Drayton unit, but to be sure can you post pictures please.

I think the wiring is the same, so use the backplate on the Drayton, (industry standard).

Thanks for your help do I just remove the receiver for the existing remote stat or leave it in

If you leave it in, the existing thermostat would need to be set to 30 to keep it on. So you’d be better disconnecting it, and link the live and switched live together and then the Hive would take over.

If replacing a Siemens rwb29 which has industry standard back plate N L 1 hw off 2 ch off 3 hw on 4 ch on, will hive just clip on it with no rewiring. Standard boiler and hot water cylinder. Thermostat that I will just turn up full and leave? Thanks
