Hi,

I have received my Hive kit and it now needs installation.

I have the Worcester Greenstar 28i Junior boiler it had a thermostat but the gas engineer has told me that it's been disconnected and looped so the boiler can be run.

I have the Single Channel Receiver (Model: SLR1c)

Can anyone recommend the correct cabling and the terminals that need connecting also does it require to be earthed.

Thank you

Removing the cover on your boiler shouldn't be done by a non competent person as it needs to be checked for safety afterwards. You could engage with a gas safe registered engineer

Did the engineer say where the thermostat was looped out?
If it was looped behind the existing thermostat, then there's a chance the existing cabling could be repurposed, without disturbing the boiler.
Could you post some pics?

I can't post any pics of the board not taken case of as @Stuckinarut has said engineer required.

The only pics I can provide is the face of the boiler and the hive receiver but that can be looked up anyway.

It hasn't been removed. And it is still there.
That is what I am asking about...

If you could post a pic of the wiring behind the existing thermostat, it may possibly have been looped out there.

There is no wiring to the thermostat as it was wireless and only wired to the integrated receiver.
