Afternoon all,

I am looking to install a Hive Heating Kit onto a Oil condensing boiler that is currently controlled by a Drayton LP522 programmer. Looking at this I cannot get British Gas to instal as they only have gas engineers and won't touch an oil system. I have basic electrical skills and have renovated the vast majority of my house so far. However, can anyone confirm that the wiring as found below is compatible?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry if this has been asked before also!!

The hive receiver will just slot straight onto that back plate without having to change any wiring.
Make sure that you get a dual channel hive (for water and heating)
If you have an existing room thermostat you will need to link the live and switch wires.
If at the moment you have to have the hot water on for the heating to work you will need to set the hive into gravity mode.
To do this when you power it up you need to press the water button for about 10 seconds until the orange flashing light changes to blue.

Thanks Johnmdc,
I thought I could just do that but wanted confirmation. I don't have a separate thermostat installed currently and currently the heating and hot water can be operated independently.
Therefore just pop it on and go for it?

Also.....for some reason it appear the earth wires are not connected to the earth port. Presume it goes without saying that this should be connected to the earth port on the picture before slotting the Hive onto the backplate.

Yes should be.
So long as they are connected together with a connector it doesn't matter. The backplate is plastic so doesn't need earthing.
